中国少年儿童消息出书总社（以下简称“中少总社”）建立于2000年，它的前身是建立于1951年的中国少年报社和建立于1956年的中国少年儿童出书社。中少总社是中国历史最长、范围最大的专业少儿消息出书机构。它的读者覆盖了0—18岁各个年龄段的少年儿童以及他们的怙恃和教员。中少总社每年出邦畿书、音像制品1500种左右，同时具有5种报纸和11种期刊、“中少在线”网站、中国少年儿童音像电子出书社以及以“贴心姐姐”为品牌的系列教育办事产物。中少总社的产物曾获很多项政府和公众奖项，具有杰出的公信力。
中少总社与美国、澳大利亚、英国、德国、法国、比利时、荷兰、意大利、日本等国的很多出书商有杰出的合作，引收支书了《丁丁历险记》《长袜子皮皮》《小调皮尼古拉》《小熊布迪》《图书馆老鼠》《花袜子小乌鸦长大故事》《猫军人》《圣斗士星矢》《小魔鬼》等很多脍炙生齿的外邦畿书。
同时，《林汉达中国历史故事集》《中国科普名家名作数学故事系列》《幼儿文学60年典范》《宝宝的第一本书》《红袋鼠平安自护金牌故事》《中国神话》《中国寓言》等优异出书物相继输出到香港、台湾、越南、马来西亚、韩国、澳大利亚等国家和地域。

China Children’s Press and Publication Group (CCPPG) was established in 2000, with predecessor Chinese Teenagers Press founded in 1951 and China Children Publishing House set up in 1956. As the biggest professional children publishing group with the longest history in China, its readers cover a wide range of ages including children from 0 to 18 years old and their parents and teachers. CCPPG publishes 1,500 different kinds of books and audiovisual products. In addition, it possesses five newspapers and eleven periodicals, website (www.ccppg.com.cn), China Children Audiovisual and Electronic Publishing House and series of education and service products with “Heart-to-Heart Sister” brand. CCPPG’s products have won lots of governmental and public awards, winning it great credibility.
CCPPG has good cooperation with a lot of publishers in America, Australia, Britain, Germany, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy and Japan. It has introduced many popular foreign books including the Adventure of Tintin, Pippi Longstocking, Petit Nicolas, Little Bear Buddy, Library Mouse, Der Kleine Rabe Socke, Warrior, Saint Seiya and Chiisanaobake.
Meanwhile, a lot of excellent publications like Lin Handa Story Collection of Chinese History, Series of Fine Chinese Popular Science on Math, Children’s Literature Classics of 60 Years, Babies’ First Book, Red Kangaroo’s Golden Self-protecting Stories, Chinese Fairy Tales and Chinese Fables have been published their overseas editions in different countries and regions including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Korea, Australia and etc.
